Hecula Wine 2012

It’s the day before Thanksgiving

Don’t that sound like a start to a great holiday story… But nah I was making some collard greens for a Thanksgiving pot Luck and I decided to open a bottle of red to sip on while I cooked.
I bought this wine a few weeks ago after my volunteering gig at the Atlanta Wine School. I wanted something on the dryer side since I have been drinking a lot of sweet lately.
Hecula is a easy drinking wine from Spain it has a slight fruitiness about it that I dig.
The black cherry color is lovely to look at as I swirl it in my glass, on the nose I get lots of blackberry. It’s not a sweet wine but the finish is smooth with whisper of sweet. I know that makes no sense but that’s what my tongue is telling me.
I really like this wine and I would buy again, but this time I will be having it with a juicy hamburger or some Italian food. The 14% ALC is nice too.
You can find this wine at the www.vinovenue.com which is also known as the Atlanta wine school or check out their site www.europeancellars.com and by the way my greens was a crowd favorite.
